Discover Your Purpose
Unlock your full potential and have a blast while doing it! There's an incredible place... -Where creativity meets inspiration -A refreshing escape from the ordinary -Time to connect with friends and make unforgettable memories -A haven to serve, unwind, and have the time of your life -Intimate moments with the Lord, just for you

When you serve and glorify God in a beautiful part of God’s Creation, You can:
Use your gifts of time and energy to serve and glorify the Lord, as 1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”
Make fun and impactful memories with family and friends. Walk across bridges over creeks, fish in a pond, see crawdads, tadpoles and other animals— possibly even a bald eagle whose nest is nearby. Take time to play some sports or work on your favorite hobby.
Help grow your work ethic.
Celebrate the accomplishment of projects completed in God’s wonderful creation.
Receive the joy-filled, exhilarating and growing experience of getting your heart pumping, blood circulating, and calories burning through hard work.
Help initiate good stewardship.
How to serve and have fun in the outdoors!

Set up a day with Jeremy Souders, Director of Maintenance and Coordinator of Volunteers, that you can help with projects which would include a special time for hobbies or sports while enjoying God’s creation. Service/Fun Days can be for one individual or a group. And/Or

Tell Jeremy you would like to be part of a mission week to work on projects at the camp and in the community, and also include recreation time.
Some projects currently underway include splitting, moving, and stacking wood; picking up sticks and hedge apples; indoor and outdoor cleaning; plumbing and electrical work; moving supplies; and organizing various areas around camp. If you have a unique skill or talent, be sure to let Jeremy know so he can help you put it to good use at Mahoning Valley. We would also deeply appreciate your prayers that the Lord would send more workers to serve.

One of our 94-year-old volunteers recently shared a statement that captures the joy of serving here:

“My whole body hurts every day—except when I’m picking up hedge apples at Mahoning Valley.”
