2022 March Recap. MVCSC VOL. 1

THE SOJOURN

A BIG SHOUT OUT!!!!!

Thanks to men from several churches who came out and loaded a 53ft semi and two 38ft flatbed trailers of donated items to the camp in February. These items will save the camp thousands of dollars.

The Well Winter Retreat 2022

The blistering cold weather settled on February 18-20. did not stop the 44 teens who attended the Winter Retreat. The theme was "Undivided" The weekend verse 1 John 2:15 "Do not love the world or anything. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them."

Tony's Talking to Stones

It has been a thrill to see the Hand of God at work at Mahoning Valley Christian Service Camp in the 2022 new year. I have had the opportunity to worship and share the ministry of the camp with multiple Churches. I shared with the folks of Center Christian Church in their annual Faith Promise Rally from Joshua 4:1-3 After the entire nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord spoke to Joshua, "Take 12 stones from this place in the middle of the Jordan where the priests' feet are standing, carry them with you, and set them down at the place where you spend the night.' " Why a stone? E's the answer God wants the next generation to know. "Tell them the story," says God in vs.7," of how the waters of the Jordan were cut off in front of the ark of the Lord's covenant. but that n it crossed the Jordan, Jordan's waters were cut off." That is what happens when the impossible meets the promises of God! This is the outcome when the implausible come up against the Glorious riches of God in Jesus Christ! I have a stone that means a lot to me because it was taken from the very spot at a Christian Camp where I committed to serving the Lord Jesus and surrendering my life to Him. Stones do talk....
